Exciting News

Éadaoin is heading to Texas!

As you know Éadaoin's passion for teaching search and rescue for sport and professional dogs has taken her on an incredible journey. Last year, she had the privilege of being invited to the INBTI (International Bloodhound Training Institute) Mantrailing Seminar in Texas. The experience left her hooked on both the method and the high standards set by INBTI instructors.

Éadaoin is heading back to Texas this March. This time, however, the pressure is on! While last year Éadaoin was an observer, this time she is booked as a dog handlerWhat adds an extra layer of excitement (and nerves) is that she will only meet her Mantrailing dog on the first day of the seminar!

We invite you all to stay tuned to our social media channels for updates, photos, and videos. Your support means the world to us, and we are eager to share the highlights of this journey with our wonderful Hounds and Helis community

Thank you for being part of this incredible journey.

Our Story

The intro session was such fun. Eadaoin was the perfect mix of friendly and informative and really made the morning enjoyable. If you have a dog and you’re looking for a new hobby you can do together, this is the one! Give it a go! I’ll definitely be back again

Yvonne Delaney

The introduction to mantrailing course was brilliant. A really lovely morning. Eadaoin was great and really made you feel welcome from the very beginning. She really took her time to support each dog and owner individually and gave really good feedback and adapted the trails based on the dogs ability. Kobie thoroughly enjoyed it so I will definitely look to continue this. Highly recommend to everyone.

If you are looking for dog training the right way ie. Fun and positive reinforcement, look no further! Éadaoin has a wealth of knowledge and we very much look forward to our class every week. Great value for money. Also has a fabulous range of Collars, leads etc. for sale. 5 stars from me.

Colette Carroll

I ordered the most beautiful collar and lead from Éadaoin for my little Cavalier King Charles puppy. It is truly one of a kind piece and feels like a piece of jewelry for my dog. Double benefit of being completely functional while at same time adds to her beauty

Sarah Ann Cummins

This was a great workshop. Eadaoin is so knowledgeable and approachable. Always encouraging and helping you and your dog to succeed. I will definitely be doing more mantrailing as it helped my dog grow in confidence and put his brain to work.

Nicola Hayes

Booked in to Hounds and Helis Introduction to Mantrailing in Galway as it had been highly recommended by a trainer for my high-energy, reactive collie X. He loved it, I loved it, and it was such a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning. It was fascinating learning about how search and rescue works, and it was really wonderful to see my dog, who can be very anxious in new places and around new people, get more confident with each trail he did. Would 100% recommend to anyone with a dog, but especially a reactive dog. Éadaoin was brilliant and the others doing the introduction were lovely.

Irene began Mantrailing with Hounds and Helis in 2022 with her beautiful Malinois Zeus and soon became addicted. She was so passionate about the benefits of Mantrailing for pet dogs that she set her heart on becoming an instructor. Once Irene completes her Mantrailing Global Instructors Course this September she will be running our Mantrailing Introductions and Progress Sessions in Killarney soon after.
